IzTech IRC is a project supported by the Ministry of Development with the aim of gathering the centers of IzTech under one roof to enhance their interaction, management and access.

The IzTech IRC achieved its goal of becoming a Directorate through the completion of the 7,000 m2 IRC building in 2018, the approval of YÖK (Council of Higher Education) to transfer centers to this building, and the IzTech Senate approval of the IRC directive in January, 2019.

Management and guidance of the Integrated Research Centers’ Directorate is implemented by the IRC Director, Vice Director, IRC Board of Directors (Center Directors and members appointed by the Rectorate) and the IRC Advisory Board (the Vice Rector responsible from research, the Teknopark İzmir General Manager, the Manager of the Technology Transfer Office, and representatives of an industry and research centers).
